Aaron Short

Aaron began his marching band career in the drumline at Camdenton High School, and he returned as a staff member for over 10 years. Additionally, he has been a clinician and tech for marching percussion for multiple programs around the area.
Aaron began working more in-depth with the visual side of the marching arts in 2019, writing drill for both marching band as well as indoor units. His analytical approach to drill brings effect and an appropriate level of challenge to the program.
During our recent virtual season, he also found an interest in sound and video editing.
Julie Short

Julie began her love of marching band at St. Charles West High School, where she played flute and performed with the winter guard.
She went to Missouri State University to earn a degree in art education, while performing with the Pride of Missouri State color guard, winter guard, and Pridettes dance line, becoming a section leader in 2010, and captain in 2011. She also performed with Avidity Independent World in 2015.
Julie has designed and choreographed for programs around the state and served the color guard director at Fort Zumwalt West High School for 10 years. In her full-time job, she is an art teacher at FZW. She recently completed an MA in Art History and Visual Culture at Lindenwood University.
Keith Moyer
Dr. Keith Moyer is a highly accomplished performer, composer/arranger, clinician, and educator. With a distinguished career in music, he has held positions as the Director of Bands for the Fort Zumwalt, Brentwood, and Riverview Gardens School Districts. Dr. Moyer has also served on the music faculty at Webster University, Lindenwood University, and Saint Charles Community College.
A Veteran of the United States Army Bands, Dr. Moyer was a member of the 76th United States Army Band (V Corps) in Wiesbaden, Germany, where he toured extensively across Europe, performing for audiences, Heads of State, and Military Leaders. He continues his service with the Missouri Army National Guard and currently serves as the Commanding Officer and Bandmaster for the 135th United States Army Band (Springfield, MO), marking 27 years of service.
In addition to his military service, Dr. Moyer is an administrator in the Fort Zumwalt School District. He holds multiple degrees, including a B.A. in Music Education, B.M. in Music Performance, M.M. in Jazz Performance, Ed.S. in Educational Administration, and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration.
Dr. Moyer has had the privilege of performing with numerous renowned artists, including Victor Goines and the Jazz St. Louis Big Band, Son Volt, The Cab Calloway Orchestra, Petula Clark, Michael Hampton (PFUNK), Greg Thomas (PFUNK), Dr. Zhivegas, The Ralph Butler Band, Nicole Henry, Montez Coleman, and The Dave Dickey Big Band. As a recording artist, he has released two full-length albums, First Cry (2012) and Pablum (2018), in addition to contributing as a sideman on several albums.
